I am going to have my senior class keep a journal on notely. They are reading Catcher in the Rye and this will be where they keep their response to their reading. I am hoping there will be no problem with everyone signing on (I know it takes time to land) but if I do it a few days before they need to start, it should be ok.......

I had some students help me in Garage band, I hope to use it for my presentations. i don't think I can upload it to Notely but I could still use for fun. I am happy with notely for what it is. Students can keep their stuff online and access it from anywhere. a lot like noteshare with out the software/ but it doesn't have as many options. I am also feeling some pressure to work on the wedding planner. my daughter wants to open it to correspondence from guests eeeekkkk!

Had a conversation with students about facebook and myspace. Seems like myspace is the least favorite. They consider it the most likely to have sketchy people trying to contact them. They also feel a little weird having teachers and adults asking to be friends. some seem to thing you shouldn't be friends with teachers until you have graduated....They also use facebook to keep track of homework assignments (who knew) and what is going on in school.......sounds good to me
now I need to have them explore notely and find out what they think of it

reading everyone's comments on twitter and the news. It seems now that I am on twitter that every part of the media is talking about Twitter. I talked to my sister in Boston and there was a juror who was twittering during the trial and now they are calling for a mistrial. Ethics is rearing its head. Also read an article about bloggs rating certain businesses and how it affects their business. Slander on the web...who is rating these establishments? We touched on this last week during one of discussions...guess this is the pioneer stage of the internet
